Three Christians exploring Christianity from a perspective other than the fundamental view from which we have become Fundamentally Drained. We’ll hopefully shed new light on old ideas and offer thoughts on the Christian faith in today’s culture, all the while having fun and trying not to offend everyone in the process while we begin conversations we hope you will continue with others.

Episode 37 - What Should Christians Fight For?
Monday Mar 04, 2019
Monday Mar 04, 2019
In this episode, we begin the conversation on the question “What should Christians fight for?”. As followers of Jesus, is there any cause or reason that we should fight? If not physical, fighting then are there things that we should use our voice to oppose or as Father Tom says in the episode, “resist”.
At the end of our discussion we went around the room and named some charities or ministries that we honor and appreciate and wanted to share those with everyone. The information for each is below:
- New Hope Oklahoma - https://www.newhopeoklahoma.org/ - Assists children who have parents that are incarcerated.
- Episcopal Relief & Development - http://www.episcopalrelief.org/ - ERD works in areas around the worlds to alleviate hunger, promote health, create economic opportunities and responds to disasters. 100% of donations to this organization go to those who need it.
- Hosanna Institute of the Sahel (H.I.S.) - https://www.his-usa.org/ - Even though Justin always butchers their name (too much redneck in that boy), H.I.S. do an amazing job providing better health through clinics, clean water and many other life essential items.

Episode 36 - Episcopal Fundamentalism
Monday Feb 18, 2019
Monday Feb 18, 2019
In this episode, we begin the conversation on Episcopal Fundamentalism and attempt to discuss fundamentalism in our own denomination. I think something Father Everett said sums it up well, “it is when we begin to worship those patterns rather than what the patterns point us to.” We have lots of laughs on this one and we're pretty terrible at staying on topic too. This is an older recording which we did in person and we hope you enjoy it and the sound quality isn’t too bad.

Monday Feb 04, 2019
In this episode, we begin the conversation on politics and how Christians should approach politics in the US considering how Jesus handled the politics of His day. We discuss how Christians view politics today and how it seems that sometime our weight is put into voting in a savior. How should we approach politics as Christians?

Episode 34 - How We Should Act - Part 2 of 2
Monday Jan 21, 2019
Monday Jan 21, 2019
In this episode, we continue the conversation on How We Should Act as Christians. We talk about things that we can do which will serve Christ and teach us who we are to become. How we work towards these acts so that we are the same person in all parts of our lives. Then we talk about our behavior on social media and how we should approach those areas as Christians. We talk about the liturgical calendar and how it can separate us from the rest of the world. We wrap with asking that you do not get discouraged but remember that thousands of small changes/acts will mold a behavior that is loving, and grace filled.

Episode 33 - How We Should Act - Part 1 of 2
Monday Jan 07, 2019
Monday Jan 07, 2019
In this episode, we begin a conversation on How we Should Act as Christians. We begin with how we were supposed to act in the past and from other traditions it was really focused on what we are not to do. Then, we move into discussing some ways of how we are called to act in the world. We talk about how we should not separate how we act out in the world and how we act at home. Lastly, it is mentioned that once we decide to change our lives we don't just immediately become the person and act in a way that God calls us to act but instead that it takes practice and a conscious awareness to move into a place where how we act is second nature (like Everett’s shoe example in the episode…haha). Enjoy!
